What to use instead

PG&E's EV Power Ready (Rule 29) still covers the utility-side construction to your meter for new, separately metered charging; you pay a $3,500 engineering advance plus the chargers and customer-side work. In most of PG&E territory, your CCA's rebate is now the main cash layer. Full list: PG&E utility guide.
