National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program

Reimbursement-style grant via state-led solicitations. CA NEVI awards historically cover up to ~80% of project cost for DCFC corridor sites with 4+ 150kW+ ports. Awards range from a few hundred thousand to several million per site.

Who qualifies

Stations must be ≤1 mile from corridor exit, 50 miles apart along corridors, 4+ DCFC ports at 150kW+ each, available 24/7 to public, NEVI-compliant uptime/payment/data reporting. Funding restored in 2025 after court reversed funding freeze.
